I would love to be able to say that Tarisota Collections came about because I woke up one night with the idea and then went about making it happen, but it wouldn’t be true. I am incredibly blessed to have an amazing support network of people who believe in me.
The push came from Julia, a lady that I was just supposed to meet. She helped me formulate concepts that had just been swirling in my head for some time.
The name Tarisota came from Cheryl, a lady I admire for her boundless energy and her innate ability to see endless possibilities.
Many of the beautiful pictures scattered throughout the site are thanks to my wonderful online friend Suz, who, until the wee hours of most mornings helps me throw ideas around. She inspires me with her amazing creativity in so many ways, as I hope she will you.
Liz taught me the excitement of receiving a collection of scrap goodies in the mail when she took me on as an unknown scrapbooker and made me part of her design team. Her advice and friendship have been invaluable.
My sane everyday friends Rhonda and Paul - Rhonda who scraps with me every other week and tells me what she thinks is yummy, and Paul, who really doesn’t know anything about scrap booking (apart from how much a lifetime subscription to Tarisota Collections for his lovely wife will cost him), who critiques and proofreads and is not afraid to say, “ That looks appalling Tamar!” or “No, that won’t work!”
My dear life friend Margie, who has taught me that life is too short not to take risks and hopefully, with love and support, see those risks come to fruition.
My gorgeous girls, who at not quite three already say, “I love cutting, I need to stamp. Mumma, I want to see the photos. Can I take a picture...?”
And last but most importantly, Richard, who shares my dreams unconditionally. When I asked if he thought I could do this he replied, “Sure, of course you can, go for it!”
